This mural was created in collaboration with Lions and Rabbits during the Creston Neighborhood Clean-Up 2025. We were given an open prompt to help highlight crosswalks in the area to promote pedestrian safety. The design of my crosswalk focuses on inclusivity and culture by using diverse colors, silhouetted hands in different poses, and bright colors to outline the crosswalks. Completed August 2025.
A poster I designed for the City of Grand Rapids’ 175th Commemorative Poster competition. This entry has not yet been selected as a winner. This inspiration for this piece comes from the pride of grand rapids, focusing on popular pasttimes in the city, local biodiversity, and inclusivity of the local cultures.
This mural was created in conjunction with Lions and Rabbits Drainage initiative. This helped promote the importance of only putting water safe items down our drainage systems. Afterr all, all drainage system inevitably connect to our lakes, rivers, and other natural bodies of water. To protect and promote the safety of our local biodiversity, Lions and Rabbits connected with multiple West Michigan cities to paint the sidewalks located at public road drains. A collection of local artists were assigned to multiple spots to brighten them up with art.
My concept was a call to many who have the core memory of having to say good bye to their fallen goldfish pets. Flushing our dearly departed goldfish is a common method of disposal, so I decided to commemorate them by painting “heavenly goldfish”. They’re watching over the drain to remind you to be safe with our drains and make them proud.
